The Open Innovation Team (OIT) is a cross-government unit that helps civil servants tackle complex policy challenges by bringing in expert insight, fresh thinking and evidence-based solutions.
Established in 2016, we operate like an in-house consultancy, delivering paid projects across the policy cycle – from reviewing evidence and engaging academics to designing policy and evaluating impact. We work with a global network of experts, including our university partners at Brunel, Essex, Lancaster, Surrey and York.
